You’ve seen my food and restaurant reviews time and time again on this blog under the Stylish and Hungry name. I took the time to eat at some of the local establishments as well as a few chains. It was a hit in the second half of 2021 as I was growing the blog. In 2022, not so much. But in 2023, I’m at it once again as I hit up some of the cool, happening places to eat. I have a few stops in mind all ready, including this one pictured below. This is the Kitchen on Main located in Ligonier near the Diamond.

Because of my work schedule, I can’t always schedule dinner well in advance. Sometimes, things change and I have to be flexible and adjust. But regardless, I enjoy helping the local businesses out and giving them a review on this blog.

A few diners I had in mind would be South Greensburg Restaurant in South Greensburg and Keystone Kitchen in New Alexandria. Perfect spots for a nice sit down breakfast. I was at South Greensburg once before and was pleased with it. I’ve heard good things about Keystone Kitchen as well. Maybe I’ll walk around the local state park afterwards.

French Express in Latrobe has been calling my name for quite some time. It’s located in the Latrobe 30 Plaza near Dunham’s and Rite Aid. I’ve been hungry for their crepes and their sandwiches, plus they serve some delectable pastries. Also in the same plaza is The Pickled Chef which serves one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to stopping at these places sometime during the winter or early Spring.

I’m an enthusiast for coffee and finding a nice cafe to sit down and meet friends once in a while. I’m planning a visit to the Kentlee Sunday morning. This will be my second visit there. The cafe is located near where Mountain View Inn was once located. I enjoyed my first time there and chatted with the manager on duty and learned the inspo for the name. The Kentlee opened in November 2021.

Maybe once swim season comes to an end, Mr Clougherty and I can try out Guy Fieri’s Restaurant + Bar inside the Live! Casino in Westmoreland Mall. I would love to see what this place has to offer and take in the sights and sounds of the Casino. Getting off topic, I would something be done soon with the old Sears location. If not a store like Target or Boscov’s, maybe a hotel to accomodate the guests who come to the Casino or who are in town for the events happening in the area.

Soon enough, I want to make another trip to the Oakmont Bakery and pick up some paczki or other delicious delicacies they might have. I’m no stranger to the Bakery and can handle the long wait times. It’s a popular place that does great business and that gets featured a lot, I’m sure. Pittsburgh is lucky to have this great gem nearby.

I’ll be looking at more places to stop at when the time comes. When we go to Delaware in June, I’ll have to look into some great dives near the beach. Definitely not a shortage of grerat food, that’s for sure.
