Stylish Smile 😊 Blog

Alright…
Alright…
First of all

When you wake up in the evening and the day is shot
Find yourself complaining about the things you ain’t got

Never goes just the way you want it to
Clichè of the day, c’est la vie, that’s just life
It ain’t easy, it’s so tough, it’s so easy

Chorus: Put a smile on your face
Make the world a better place
Put a smile on your face
(Whatcha gonna do, say, whatcha gonna do)
Put a smile on your face
Make the world a better place
Put a smile on your face
(Whatcha gonna do, say, whatcha gonna do)

Smile, a great pop song by the artist Vitamin C. The same Vitamin C who sang the wonderful commencement song Friends Forever. It’s also the subject of today’s blog.

So why is important to smile?

Smiling Makes Us Attractive—We are naturally drawn to people who smile. There is a real physical attraction factor linked to the act of smiling.

Not surprisingly, more severe or negative facial expressions like frowns, scowls, and grimaces actually work in the opposite manner, effectively pushing people away. Instead, use the attraction power of your smile to draw people in.

Smiling Relieves Stress—Stress can permeate our entire being, and can really show up in our faces. Smiling not only helps to prevent us from looking tired, worn down, and overwhelmed but can actually help reduce stress.

Believe it or not, smiling can reduce stress even if you don’t feel like smiling or even know that you’re smiling! When you are stressed, take the time to put on a smile. You and those around you will reap the benefits.

Smiling Makes You Look Younger—Not only can smiling make you more attractive it can also make you look more youthful. The muscles we use to smile also lift the face, making a person appear younger.

So instead of opting for a facelift, just try smiling your way through the day—you’ll look younger and feel better.

Smiling Makes You Seem Successful—Studies have shown that people who smile regularly appear more confident, are more likely to be promoted, and are more likely to be approached.

Try putting on a smile at work and during Toastmasters meetings. You might find that people react to you differently.

Smiling Helps You Stay Positive—Try this test: Smile. Now try to think of something negative without losing the smile. It’s hard, isn’t it?

Even when a smile feels unnatural or forced, it still sends the brain and ultimately the rest of our body the message that “Life is Good!” Stay away from depression, stress, and worry by smiling. Here’s some more lyrics from that song that accentuates today’s blog.

You can say that I’m a dreamer and you think it’s uncool
Preaching ’bout the better life I learned in school
But you get what you give in this life that we live
And all that you do come back to you Repeat Chorus

Yo,
When things isn’t right there’s no need to fight
Come on be nice
No need to fight
Stay polite even when you’re hurting don’t forget to smile
Give love to our nation, big or small
When you do good you’ll get your reward
United with stand, divided we fall
Put a smile on your face and greet one and all Repeat Chorus

People love you when you smile
And hate you when it’s through
Lots of happiness
We are wishing you
If you come from Jamaica or Honolulu, yeah
Keep a smile on your face
I’ll see the good that you do

Smile 😊
And everything will be fine..

I had a little help on this blog from the song itself and from verywellmind.com. Credit given to those sources.

When I woke up this morning, I smiled and it made all the difference. We all feel better when we have that positive energy. Even if don’t feel good about our day yet we Smile, our brain is telling us “You must be Happy today”. With my eye for dressing nice (along with another person I know), I definitely stand out.

Time to close off the blog with a preview of tomorrow’s blog. I am going to talk about a few things to help me live a better life. I feel I am doing one by reading more inspirational books. I should also take more time to pray over the next 30 days and devote an entire month to Proverbs. Next month would be great for that but what I am waiting for on some of these devotionals I have? Why not start now?

My advice to you for your Tuesday? Live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it.

I talked about smiling tonight. Well, always bring your smile to anything that you are a part of. Let it be infectious. Tell those whom you see tomorrow “❤️ you” even if they don’t deserve it. Make your Tuesday lovely.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you.

100 Blog Celebration 🎊 🎉 🍾

I never thought I’d make it this far. Seriously, I didn’t.

Last night I published the blog about my visit to State College for the Area 22 International Speech and Evaluation contest. That blog turned out to be my 100th blog post. A big milestone for me because I’ve never had a blog that’s lasted more than a month.

I’ve been churning out new content every day or at least try to. Some of the content has been motivational. I’ll be posting a few of those early this week.

Sundays you will usually see my week in reviews. This past week was kind of crazy with work but I still managed to churn out some good blogs. I talked about discouragement as well as rejection. I wanted to do more but I felt I was kind of limited. I also got into unconditional love Friday night. I feel that could be the start of a great blog series.

You read about yesterday’s Toastmaster events. More contest fun coming this week. I plan on coming out to Area 13’s contest Thursday night to cheer on Cranberry High Noon. On Saturday, I’ll be going to Johnstown for the Area 21 contest (and back there in a month for the Division Contest). That’ll be held at the John Murtha Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Your home for the Area 21 (February 29) and Division C (March 28) contests.

Let’s continue to celebrate my milestone. I started my Slippery Rock Toastmaster blog in November 2018 but, for the most part, didn’t post much contest. There’s a ten month gap between posts but when I picked it back up in November 2019, I started and did not stop. I had ten blogs from November of 2018 to January of 2019. From November 2019 to the end of the year, 31 blogs. Wow!

What possessed me to pick this blog back up in November? I was going through a lonely time and wanted to give myself a voice. I posted a few private blogs before Thanksgiving. It soon became a passion of mine to do this blog and I began a new one in January. However I think I may come back to this one every once in a while to post stuff. I thought the Slippery Rock name was a bit dated but now that I think about it, I could have kept the old blog. I’m promoting my alma mater in the blog anyways so why not keep all ties to the Rock?

To all my Toastmaster, church, and work friends who read my content, thank you for your love and support of the blog. Cranberry High Noon Toastmasters, thank you for making me feel welcome back in December and asking me questions about the new blog and about my style. Katie, my cousin and favorite blogger (check out her blog Everyday Adventures With Katie), thank you for your encouragement when I started this project.

Time to close off the blog by giving you a preview of what’s coming this week. Tomorrow I’ll have a motivational blog on why it’s important to smile. You’ll want to stay tuned for this one. Also, I’ll talk how to defeat those winter 🥶 blues (even though Spring is now less than a month away). That’s coming up Monday.

As the weekend comes to an end, take this advice as you begin the new workweek. Remember to live your best life and be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it.

Always bring your beautiful smile to anything you are a part of. Tell those you see “ ❤️ you” even if they don’t deserve it. Make this coming week lovely 😊.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you 😘 🤗.

Stylish Contest Weekend

I am home now from my little road trip. I left after work to head off to my hotel. Getting there was the fun.

Wall to wall sunshine all the way there. Where were my sunglasses 🕶 for this trip? Just kidding. It’s what we’ve been missing out on all year and need more of. Less than a month now until Spring. #INeedMoreSunshine. You needed your sunglasses these last few days.

How cute are these heart shades? You needed your sunglasses with all the sunshine we experienced this weekend.

I had dinner at Marzoni’s (a burger and fries with a Leinenkugels Summer Shandy in a Pilsner glass). I spent the evening sitting in the lobby watching Gilmore Girls and then doing my unconditional love blog. That’s my Friday night in a nutshell.

The contest didn’t start until 1:30 this afternoon so I had some time to kill this morning. I worked on today’s model speech. I headed off to State College around 11 and ate lunch at Chick Fil A.

I found out last minute that the Area 22 contest was going to be held at a different location. Our Area Director couldn’t get the key for the Patton Building so we had to move to Schlow Library 📚 in downtown State College.

Quarters were crammed a bit but we managed to get everyone in. Area Director Letitia Maines and Division Director Brett Aristegui pulled some strings and got everything taken care of. We had our judges and other volunteers.

Our International Speakers were first up. Michael Stewart and Wade Maines both gave contest worthy speeches. For the sake of time, I was up next giving my model speech. I gave the Three Lessons speech that I had for my club contest. Steve Sokolowski and Wade gave feedback for my speech. All three contestants are moving onto the Division C contest on March 28 at UPJ. Here are pictures of the winners.

Division Director Brett Aristegui and Area 22 Director Letitia Maines with the first and second place evaluation contestants.

The weekend is just half over and we had some great contests. Area 14 held their contest at the Butler YMCA downtown where Earlybirds holds their meetings. Carol Hamilton and Walter J Smith participated in both International Speech and Evaluation contests. Carol finished first and Walter J second in both. I wasn’t able to attend but here are pictures from that contest.

Time to close off with my advice to you. Live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. Put a nice outfit together and rock it even when no one’s paying attention . Always bring your beautiful smile to anything you are a part of.

It’s a new week. Make it lovely.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you 😘 🤗.

A Different Kind of Love ❤️

It’s been a crazy week. But I still managed to get out some quality content. Tonight I want to talk about something different. A Different Kind of Love ❤️ to be exact.

This different kind of love 💕 I’m talking about is unconditional love. What is the actual definition of this love I call unconditional. It’s affection without any limitations, or love without conditions. OK that was an obvious definition. Let’s delve into it a little more.

It’s the greatest gift you can give to others. It’s saying Love You without expecting to hear it in return from your good friends. That’s me every day when I leave work.

Stephen Kendrick, author of the Love Dare, says it this way. For those who aren’t familiar with the Love Dare, it’s the book based off the movie Fireproof starring Kirk Cameron. It’s a 40-day challenge for husbands and wives to understand and practice unconditional love.

Despite the fact that I’m not married, perhaps the 40 day challenge in The Love Dare is something that will be the basis for a future blog.

Here’s what unconditional love isn’t. Unconditional love is not and should not be an excuse to stay in an unhealthy relationship. Even when you love someone wholeheartedly and accept them for who they are, healthy boundaries are essential. Unconditional love means that you love someone regardless of circumstance, but not regardless of how they treat you. Sometimes loving someone also requires making tough decisions and letting them go.

Can you love your friends unconditionally? The strength of a good friendship that goes the distance will be unconditional love. It’s a love that is selfless and can also be defined as agape love. That’s a topic I want to get into for a future blog.

It’s time to close off the blog and you know what I’m going to tell you. Live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. Put a nice outfit together and rock it even when no one’s watching. Make every day lovely. Tell those you see “❤️ you” even if they don’t deserve it.

Weekend is here. Make it a great one.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you 😘 🤗.

It’s Just a Part of Life

Rejection is a part of life. It’s a process that will hurt emotionally at the beginning but can be beneficial in the long run. Something better may be waiting for you.

Why didn’t I learn that about 15 years ago?

Tonight I’ll go back to a time when I dealt with rejection. Unfortunately there were a few times I let it break me instead of letting it help me grow.

Twenty years ago, during my senior year of high school, I was in the process of applying to colleges. I had a few in mind. One was Robert Morris. It had what I wanted in terms of a major and was close to home. But when we looked through the booklet and checked out the price, we balked at how expensive it was going to be. This really wasn’t rejection from the university itself but I was rejecting myself from attending here.

While it would have been feasible to stay home for two years attending WCCC, I attended school at Hiram G. Andrews Center (with plans to move on to the local community college). That was the plan and in the long run, it’s been one of the best decisions I made. It helped me to become independent and I had many life experiences during the first leg of my college run. One being that I learned to drive while at HGAC. I would then attend Slippery Rock after I completed my courses at the Community College. Things will work out the way they’re supported to.

I wish I learned that when it came to relationships.

While at Slippery Rock, I met a girl in my Campus Crusade chapter whom I took a liking to. We hooked up a few times during the Fall of 2003. We met at one of the mixers that CRU put together. She gave me a ride back to my dorm because it was on her way. Upon dropping me off, I knew our paths would cross again. Surely they did.

We saw a good bit of each other that fall. I learned that she was a senior education major getting ready to student teach on the spring. While preparing for her Praxis, I passed around a card for everyone in CRU to sign. While a kind gesture, it was obvious that I wanted something in return. I wanted a relationship with her. I was talked out of asking her out because it wasn’t the right time.

I attended her graduation in the Spring of 2004 with some of my friends. I gave her a gift while we were in the Student Union following commencement. A few weeks later I put my feelings for her in a letter. I waited the entire summer to hear back. When I got her return letter a week before, it wasn’t good. She turned me down. I should have seen it coming but at the time I was 22 and trapped in my own selfishness. She had her own plans after graduation and didn’t want to lead me on. I was hurt 😞 but should have thought about her own feelings. The last we saw of each other was in December of 2004 at a wedding in Butler for two of our CRU friends.

The same can be said looking for a job.

After college, I was putting applications in and applying for work in my field. I didn’t hear from many of those companies, plus I was also turned down due to lack of work experience. Even those companies that I interviewed at didn’t work out. Things just weren’t looking good for me early on in my job search. Plus it didn’t help that I was holding out for the perfect job.

I settled for menial work. It was a stepping stone but it was where I needed to start. Of course I’ve been at the same job now for 11 years and after so long, I’ve built a little work family where I am.

Lesson learned: Rejection is a part of life. Just learn to deal with it and keep moving.

Time to close off the blog with a Slippery Rock shoutout. The Robert M. Smith Student Center has been around since 2012 and is a beautiful building. I’ve been in there a few times as I’ve gone up for homecoming in the Fall. The waterfall is really nice to look at.

The Bob as the sun is setting on a cold but gorgeous Slippery Rock day.

Remember to live your best life and be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. LOVE yourself every day and wow everyone with your SMILE. The weekend is almost here and contest season is underway in District 13. I’ll be in State College this Saturday for Area 22’s contest and will be the model speaker.

Happy almost Friday. Bye everyone. ❤️ you. 😘

I am Not A Failure

Good evening. Stylish DTM here with another motivational blog. This is a subject that I know too much about and that is discouragement. Vanessa, thank you once again for speaking on this topic and others to help us feel encouraged.

We all go through that season of life where we feel like nothing is going right for us.

Discouragement is a part of a life. A season in our lives that is almost like a rebuilding of sorts. It’s a blip on the radar of our life that can either help us grow or bring us down. How we handle that discouragement will shape our attitude towards things.

One of the most discouraging seasons of my life came following my graduation from Slippery Rock University beginning in 2006. That season lasted for quite a while.

I had my degrees from SRU and Community College. I thought I had it all together. But I learned the hard way that’s not how it works. I came out of college with my lone work experience being in Food Service working at Park Diner and part time at one of the dining halls on campus. I had no real job leads upon graduation. I was going into the real world with no clue what I was going to do with my life, and I was scared.

I felt like this graduate about 15 years ago.

Job interviews with financial planners and life insurance companies went nowhere. I took civil service tests and once I held out for a state job, turning down part time work at UPS. That turned into an epic meltdown. Eventually I settled for a menial job at Kings Restaurant (after I turned down other menial work). I had to start somewhere but still that feeling of despair festered within me.

I felt like a failure and let those feelings of negativity take over me. Losing three loving family members, thinking of those I graduated with working in their field, and feeling ashamed of myself took its toll on me.

I had a brief reprieve the next year but by 2008, those feelings of discouragement returned. I couldn’t take working at Kings and didn’t care what it would take to get out of there. I actually gave thought to applying at California University of Pennsylvania to study something completely different. I almost forgot one of my biggest achievements, and that’s the fact that I graduated.

I am not a failure.

To fight discouragement, remember to celebrate yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back anytime you celebrate even the smallest achievements.

Take Patrick Star, for example. Spongebob tried to get him to handle even the simplest of tasks. You remember the episode. After so many tries he gets the jar open. The point is, cherish even the little victories.

Celebrate the little things in life.

Speak life and truth over your discouragement. You are not a failure. You may have messed up but you can’t let those mistakes define you.

Example I have here was that I did horrible on a test in one of my major courses at Slippery Rock. Everyone’s grades were bad and I let my bad grade consume me. Even my good friend was getting frustrated trying to calm me down.

Another time was when I thought I was going to fail one of my classes and not graduate. I let the thought of failing that class wreck my Friday night. I had a test that Monday and thought for sure that I was screwed. I got an A on that test when I got it back the next Friday.

For the longest time I was discouraged and didn’t want to accept my past for what it was. It took me several years after I graduated to realize that I was meant to be at Slippery Rock. I remember the day when it all came back to me. It was my friend’s memorial service. We attended the same church when I was a student at the Rock. After we were done and said our goodbyes, I took the time to walk around the campus and remember all the buildings where I had classes. I felt a weight being lifted off of me. It was a major turning point in my life.

I am not a failure.

Perhaps you’ve seen my mirror selfies that I posted on Facebook and in the blog. Limited resources. I do want to find someone who will snap my picture and do a legit photo shoot. I’m thinking Twin Lakes, Kennywood, Ligonier at the Diamond, or even Slippery Rock University. While most people liked my photos, I let a few who didn’t get to me. They gave me some choice words about what I was doing. They made me feel discouraged and embarrassed. I looked past those people and continued to do it regardless of those negative opinions.

The best photo shoot ever.

Time to close off the blog by encouraging you to live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. When you’re feeling discouraged, don’t forget to laugh because laughter is the best medicine.

Don’t miss my blog on rejection tomorrow. I’ll go back in time for this one. Back to my Slippery Rock days.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you. 😘

The Great Chili Cookoff

Yesterday at the place where we have our Achievers meeting, the church held a soup 🍜 and chili 🌶 cook off. I arrived around 1, paid for my ticket, and treated myself to some great chili and soup made by the local Boy Scouts chapter. Some of my fellow Toastmasters joined in as well.

United Presbyterian Church in Blairsville, home of yesterday’s Chili and Soup Cookoff.

I treated myself to some wedding soup and taco soup as well as some Ramen. I tried some of the best chili recipes as well. The hot south of the border chili was the best. Very spicy but good. There was dessert to be had as well. Overall the Boy Scouts raised a lot of money and dished out a lot of chili. Reverend Tim, the minister of the church, and his wife ate a good bit too. I am grateful that he has provided his place of worship for us to use for our Achievers meetings once a month. We gave the church a donation for use of the building.

As for the meeting, we had three great speakers lined up. I served as Toastmaster. I rocked a nice outfit (black pants, black blazer and teal top with whiskey boots 👢).

My outfit from yesterday.
I also have a boot obsession.

Jim Teague spoke on some of the great concerts he attended (KISS, the Police, and Queen (with Adam Lambert)). I was quite impressed when he enjoyed Stewart Copeland over Sting when he and Michelle saw the Police in concert. I also learned that Adam Lambert did a great job performing on tour with Queen.

Charlie Wilson gave a speech he was preparing for the Area Contest in District 38. In it he referenced American Gothic. Charlie has excellent storytelling skills and he will be taking part in the Humorous and International Speech competitions in that District’s contests.

Fred Vornbrock taught us how to access the Achievers website in his Better Speaker Series presentation. It was very detailed and I learned a lot. I addressed the evaluator issue in McKeesport at their meeting. I ran it by him prior to Achievers on Sunday. He is giving a future presentation on how to give Effective Evaluations.

Our chapter will have some clout with four Greensburg members a part of Achievers. They’ll have some district clout as well with the incoming District Director being part of the club, as well as other incoming District Leaders. Patti will do a great job, I just know it. She’s building a great team and her and I really want to see the District grow. It can definitely happen.

I’m heading to Altoona Friday night and Patti and I know they are worthy of having multiple chapters. I will be in touch with Reverend Tim about holding a Speechcraft. He wants to see another club in the Blairsville area, one that is open to everyone.

Time to close off the blog with a shoutout to my favorite green and white school. This building has bred a lot of fine educators over the years. Slippery Rock has had the distinction of being an excellent teacher’s college. McKay, this blog and shoutout is for you. Credit goes to the person who snapped this picture.

February sunset outside of the McKay Education Building. I’ve had a lot of good friends take classes here and become fine teachers

Remember to live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. After my great run last fall, the future is looking as bright as the sun. Remember to show gratitude today and every day. Enjoy your Monday night and have a great Tuesday.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you 😘.

Stylish Week in Review #5

This week was one where most of my blogs were motivational. It’s just the way the tides turned for me.

Monday’s blog was about getting off your rear end and starting something you’ve put off for the longest time. For me, I talked about starting this blog. I also told my followers to never give up what it is they’re going for. One bad day can either make or break a dream.

Time to quit putting off your dreams.

That evening, I featured a picture of my two wonderful Toastmaster friends showing off their red Kate Spade bags. I put it in my blog at the request of Sarah (who looks great in red)

That awesome Kate Spade pic from last Monday’s CHN meeting. Kate minds do think alike.

On Tuesday, I talked about ways you can motivate yourself, including getting out and exercising. It’s also important to have a morning routine and to be grateful. None of this will matter if you don’t take action. Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes.

Wednesday I got to spend time with my squad and they got a kick of out of my profile picture. The one where I rock my white pants, teal shirt, and leather jacket. In the blog, I discussed seven rules to live by. I also sent my 50th blog today.

Thursday at the McKeesport meeting, we discussed changes when it comes to giving speech evaluations. One of the members plans to give his speech on Effective Evaluations down the road to try and calm the rough waters.

Valentine’s Day went better than expected. I had a easy day at work and made good use of my holiday. I ate pizza, watched an episode of Gilmore Girls, and did some mix and match with my clothes. I also tried out some stylish poses. I had my DTM Swag going this week.

That’s my rewind for this week. If you have the day off, then more power to you. I’ll be going to State College this Saturday for the start of my contest season. We are going to make District 13 great next year and make Achievers a happening club as well as GREENSBURG.

Have a great night. ❤️ you. 😘

Stylish Saturday before Contest Season.

Contest season kicked off today in Oakdale and in the North Hills. Best of luck to the winners who are advancing to their Division Contests in Oakdale and Cranberry Township next month. I’ll be starting my rounds with the contests next Saturday as I head off to State College.

I spent part of my Saturday with Katie and Annabelle. We played some Super Mario Party on the Nintendo Switch. We had a hard fought game as our characters split the 16 mini games. Annabelle would have been pleased if she beat me 16-0. Being seven, she took losing not so well.

I also planned tomorrow’s agenda for Achievers. We have a great slate of speakers scheduled. We are trying to get a fire burning 🔥 and grow the membership base once again. We made Select Distinguished last year. I wanted to get us to President’s Distinguished but I took things for granted. Now, with the year more than halfway over, I’m going to take things a little more seriously now as I try to lead the club to success.

Our meeting place where we have our monthly Achievers meeting is holding a chili 🌶 and soup 🍜 cook off. I’m going to take part in that and donate some money to the church. I’m doing it as a way to thank Pastor Tim for letting us have the church. Our club meets at the United Presbyterian Church in Blairsville.

United Presbyterian Church, our home for Achievers Advanced Toastmasters. Third Sunday at 2:30pm.

I have a nice stylish outfit put together for tomorrow’s meeting. We have a new member joining our chapter. Her name is Michelle Teague. She’s part of our Greensburg chapter. She serves as the Vice President Education. Along with her husband Jim, she is serving as co-chair for the upcoming Spring Conference. She also likes my blog and loves my stylish attire.

With Michelle joining the club, we will have a strong Greensburg connection in the chapter. I plan to renew in March to keep my membership going both in Greensburg and in Achievers. I’m proud that my home club has some clout in the advanced chapter.

This is my pose. We call it The James.

Tonight I was being my best me as I served on the Front Line Ministry at Cornerstone. I help out in the Welcome Center. I greet everyone who comes into church and answer any questions that they may have. I greet them with a smile 😃 and make their day as they come and get fed God’s Word. I love our FLM crew and Alvin does a great job as our leader.

My home church. Been a proud member since late 2015. Great worship, great sermon, and great people all around.

We wrapped up our Advice for Aliens series and were blessed with great music. Our worship team never ceases to amaze. Pastor Donn fed us well with a great sermon and plenty of scripture along the way. Can’t wait to learn of the next sermon series.

Time to close off the blog as I get ready to order my dinner at the Pourhouse. Busy night tonight and sometimes I just love the nightlife. It’s a Saturday night so why not?

Remember to live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. Make this coming week lovely and remember when life happens, coffee helps. Enjoy your Saturday night and drive safe.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you. 😚

Stylish Valentines (or Galentines) Potpourri

Today was a good day. I was in Butler doing the Target. At first I wasn’t up for counting the store. I had horrific flashbacks of how bad Mayfield Heights went and had no desire to do a single Target in 2020. But I stayed strong and today went a lot better than I thought. We’ll see how well the Targets go this year.

Remember, the week after that Mayfield Heights started that great run that went through the holidays and all the way to the Super Bowl and beyond. To put it in a nutshell, I’ve done well since November.

During a lull in the action this morning, I discovered my Stylish DTM pose. When I do my mirror selfies maybe I’ll try out the pose for all of you.

This will make a nice summer outfit.

I’ll be staying in this Valentines Day as I have a busy weekend planned. I’ll watch some Gilmore Girls on Netflix. I’m on Season Three, Rory’s senior year at Chilton. I could eat pizza while watching the show (Lorelai and Rory ate pizza while watching some movie). I have a movie in mind for tonight as well.

What’s happening this weekend? Well, I have my Front Line Ministry role tomorrow night at Cornerstone. I’ll be heading up the desk at the Welcome Center. I enjoy doing it and greeting everyone who walks in. Sunday I have my Toastmasters meeting at the United Presbyterian Church in Blairsville. We have an exciting meeting planned with four speakers scheduled. We are trying to get a fire 🔥 burning in our club and build membership back up. I met with them

A little later tonight I’m going to do some mirror selfies because I’m mixing and matching some V-neck tops with my white pants. That’s why this blog will be out after 7. I’ll attempt to get the Stylish DTM pose in there too.

My season starts next week. Contest season that is. All the club contests have wrapped up and we are now onto the Area portion. There are some going tomorrow and Thursday night. I’ll be traveling to State College for the Area 22 contest. I plan to spend the night in Altoona the night before.

The week after that I’ll be helping out at the Area 21 contest at Pitt Johnstown. The Area Director is my home club’s President. Jim Teague will be looking for help across the board. He’s likely going to tab me to volunteer as well. I might end up being chief judge. Before I head to Johnstown, I might have a coffee ☕️ date at White Rabbit 🐇 with my favorite people, my squad. #squadgoals

Your home for the Area 21 and Division C contests February 29 and March 28. See you there.

Here are those mirror selfies. I think these will make great summer outfits. I felt like rocking my brown leather jacket and trying out those stylish poses. Have at it.

A Stylish Pose
We named this pose after me.
The ultimate Stylish DTM pose.
I’ve got the DTM Swag.

Time to close off the blog. Best of luck to those participating in their respective contests tomorrow. My season will start next week. I’m attending all area contests in Division C and three of the four division contests. I might have plans for the 27th but we’ll see.

Live your best life. Be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it. Don’t forget to laugh because laughter is the best medicine. I love sharing my life, giving shout-outs, and dressing nice for you. The weekend is here. Make it a great one 👍.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you.
