Time for my first of many fashion posts for 2023. I hoped to do more with my amazing fashionwear last year; however, I fell into a hole emotionally and struggled for most of 2022. I couldn’t even enjoy pride month because I wasn’t sure where I stood. But then I discovered Queer Eye (the Netflix reboot) this past Fall and everything was right once again. Again: it took me learning to love myself to get on board. Everyday I feel like I fight my own feelings and those of my critics.
Ranting aside, I’m pleased to show off my outfit of the day on social media. I’m always hungry for attention. I’m looking forward to getting out more in 2023 so I have a reason to look nice. I rocked my Pride sweatshirt on Monday and got many likes and some compliments. It seems like we’re all starting to get comfortable more now.
The inspiration for today’s title comes from the movie Mean Girls and is one of the rules of the Plastics. That, and I do love the color pink, going back to my college days and even before that (high school).
My Christmas 2022 turned out well. The weather was cold enough for a White Christmas, better than last year’s wet and muddy holiday. Sorry, mild and rainy doesn’t make for a good Christmas. I got some hoodies, Spongebob socks, a pastel-colored water bottle, plenty of gift cards, and a Queer Eye book that I had my eye on since I started watching the show. I didn’t get everything I wanted on my list but alas, Christmas 2022 turned out well.
I’m going to continue to wow all of you with my amazing fashionwear. Those Old Navy gift cards will go toward some cute sweaters and tops perfect for Winter and the early Spring months where snow, cold, and warm weather battle it out. I can wear these on a coffee date with myself or if I’m getting together with family. I also have Super Cash so you know where I’ll be putting together some nice outfits.
My Target gift card will be good for a bathrobe, a skin care set, or even some accessories for my upcoming trip to the beach in June. I purchased a sweater and some leather leggings online last year through Target.com just as I was beginning to find myself on this journey. A Target run is always a good time and between them and Old Navy, I’m always finding ways to spend money and get great deals.
My local JcPenney has a section of the store that is devoted to the Pittsburgh sports teams. I have a JcP gift card from my birthday as well as the one that I just got for Christmas from my aunt along with my Queer Eye book.
Of course I’ll need to look for some more pink.

Looking forward to some great shopping adventures in the coming months. While everyday is a chance to prove myself, I’ve come a long way in my non binary journey and even though 2022 was one step forward and three steps back, 2023 is already looking better.
Just remember, on Wednesdays we wear pink.
