Recently, Area 24 not only had three Presidents’ Distinguished clubs but, with the addition of the new Laurel Highlands Toastmasters chapter, became a Presidents’ Distinguished Area. Way to go Nick for your leadership in the Area, all our club presidents for helping lead their clubs to success, and Dana Mitnik and Ryan Jacobs for getting this new club off the ground. I’d love to check it out sometime.
Our historian Dana Mitnik came up with this interesting factoid about 1940s District 13 Toastmasters. It so happens that one of the members of the Original Greensburg Toastmasters club received an award for traveling the furthest to the annual Toastmasters convention. The convention was held in Santa Cruz, CA.
