100 Blog Celebration 🎊 🎉 🍾

I never thought I’d make it this far. Seriously, I didn’t.

Last night I published the blog about my visit to State College for the Area 22 International Speech and Evaluation contest. That blog turned out to be my 100th blog post. A big milestone for me because I’ve never had a blog that’s lasted more than a month.

I’ve been churning out new content every day or at least try to. Some of the content has been motivational. I’ll be posting a few of those early this week.

Sundays you will usually see my week in reviews. This past week was kind of crazy with work but I still managed to churn out some good blogs. I talked about discouragement as well as rejection. I wanted to do more but I felt I was kind of limited. I also got into unconditional love Friday night. I feel that could be the start of a great blog series.

You read about yesterday’s Toastmaster events. More contest fun coming this week. I plan on coming out to Area 13’s contest Thursday night to cheer on Cranberry High Noon. On Saturday, I’ll be going to Johnstown for the Area 21 contest (and back there in a month for the Division Contest). That’ll be held at the John Murtha Center at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Your home for the Area 21 (February 29) and Division C (March 28) contests.

Let’s continue to celebrate my milestone. I started my Slippery Rock Toastmaster blog in November 2018 but, for the most part, didn’t post much contest. There’s a ten month gap between posts but when I picked it back up in November 2019, I started and did not stop. I had ten blogs from November of 2018 to January of 2019. From November 2019 to the end of the year, 31 blogs. Wow!

What possessed me to pick this blog back up in November? I was going through a lonely time and wanted to give myself a voice. I posted a few private blogs before Thanksgiving. It soon became a passion of mine to do this blog and I began a new one in January. However I think I may come back to this one every once in a while to post stuff. I thought the Slippery Rock name was a bit dated but now that I think about it, I could have kept the old blog. I’m promoting my alma mater in the blog anyways so why not keep all ties to the Rock?

To all my Toastmaster, church, and work friends who read my content, thank you for your love and support of the blog. Cranberry High Noon Toastmasters, thank you for making me feel welcome back in December and asking me questions about the new blog and about my style. Katie, my cousin and favorite blogger (check out her blog Everyday Adventures With Katie), thank you for your encouragement when I started this project.

Time to close off the blog by giving you a preview of what’s coming this week. Tomorrow I’ll have a motivational blog on why it’s important to smile. You’ll want to stay tuned for this one. Also, I’ll talk how to defeat those winter 🥶 blues (even though Spring is now less than a month away). That’s coming up Monday.

As the weekend comes to an end, take this advice as you begin the new workweek. Remember to live your best life and be your best you. ROCK out because you are worth it.

Always bring your beautiful smile to anything you are a part of. Tell those you see “ ❤️ you” even if they don’t deserve it. Make this coming week lovely 😊.

Bye everyone. ❤️ you 😘 🤗.
