Stylish Weekend Review

It was a great weekend, despite a few minor hiccups (one being the weather).

Friday was the big day I’d been waiting for. I’d tried on my new clothes the Saturday before and earlier in the week. I was going to kick it up a notch by modeling my colored V-neck tops with my jeans (I had a certain pair I wanted to use for this photo shoot) and my leather jackets. I took plenty of “mirror selfies” but chose only a dozen to post on Facebook. Here are my top 3.

I really rocked the leather jacket that night. Unfortunately, the night didn’t go off without a hitch. A total stranger came onto my Facebook and bashed my pictures and my blog. It was because of a comment I made on a pro-Trump page. I blocked the person last night and my cousin reported her to Facebook for harassment.

Yesterday was Division C TLI makeup training. Our area directors and division director ran an effective training and 20 people showed up. I gave an overview of winter TLI, served as Toastmaster, and gave a testimony about my Journey to DTM. Also covered were Officer Roles and Responsibilities, Moments of Truth, and Pathways. The training started on time and ended on time. Here’s us with our certificates of participation.

I served on the Front Line Ministries team at Cornerstone last night in the Welcome Center. I learned something last night and that is I know some people who like Gilmore Girls. We talked about our favorite characters and how close Lorelai and Rory are. I listened to the Bangles because of the episode where Lorelai and Sookie take Rory and her friends to a concert. I’m still planning on springing for that sweatshirt and the red leather jacket.

Today I posted a blog inspired by a fellow Toastmaster about looking at the glass half full. This afternoon I attended my monthly Achievers meeting with just five in attendance. We made some plans to promote the club at the upcoming Spring conference. We’ll be welcoming a new member next month. I also plan on promoting The Stylish Traveling DTM to the club.
